Rare memorial inspires contemporary Quaker work

Guardian article about the opening of the Quaker Service memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.  It is a sympathetic piece by Martin Wainwright, whose Methodist father served in the Friends Ambulance Unit.  It mentions the work of the academic Jenny Carson, whose lecture on the work of the Friends Relief Service some of us heard at the Wiener Library last November.

Two Winchmore Hill Friends will be attending the opening of the memorial on 20th April, which we have contributed to financially.
