Same sex religious marriage: three largest parties to back plans

Opponents of same sex marriage are clear, its just not logical to allow civil same sex marriage and not to allow religious same sex marriage. ¬†We’d agree because we want both to be legal.

Today’s Evening Standard reports that the Prime Minister joins Nick Clegg and Ed Milliband in supporting religious same sex marriage for groups such as the Quakers that wish to introduce it.

There is a fantastic consensus that groups, and ministers, which oppose the measure should not be forced to introduce it.

Clearly these proposals still have to get through Parliament.
