Prayer vigil for Meriam Ibrahim – imprisoned in Sudan for her belief

A prayer vigil for Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese woman under sentence of death for her Christian faith, will take place between

Noon – 1pm on Saturday 14th June at

St Andrew’s Church,
Market Place
Enfield Town EN2 6LL

Please come for just 5 minutes or the whole hour (and anything between). It is simply a time to come in, light a candle, perhaps say a prayer and there is an opportunity to sign a petition for Meriam’s release that the organising group will be delivering to the Sudanese Embassy afterwards.  There will be literature from Christian
Solidarity Worldwide about people being imprisoned for their faith, and it is hoped that the event will raise awareness for this as a wider issue, as well as supporting Meriam in particular.

For further information about Meriam’s case please access the Amnesty International website.
