Welcome to Winchmore Hill Quakers, and our website.
We have met in this beautiful meeting place for more than 300 years. Yet what we have to say is very up to date. We seek to be a friendly and open spiritual community, which welcomes everyone. You are very welcome to join us for worship every Sunday at 10.30 am, or for the other events we run here. We welcome children and their families - currently we run a special Children’s Meeting on the first Sunday of the month. Our gardens are open to all to use as a place of tranquillity and reflection.
Our historic Friends Meeting House and grounds are an asset to the community. We’re an inspiring and practical venue for many groups and events. We welcome enquiries about suitable lettings.
SAFETY. There are holes and uneven terrain in the grounds, which we are addressing. Please walk with care. Also, the last time we had a real gale, a branch fell off our 150 year old cedar. Please don’t enter the grounds during a gale!
Contacting the Meeting
Our clerk can be contacted via a central email address; there is also a form to email the web editor who forwards enquiries promptly. The details are on the Contact us page. Lettings and buildings enquiries should go to the Lettings Coordinator.
We have faced some real challenges to keep the buildings and grounds safe, welcoming and sustainable. The latest phase of building works refurbishing our Small Meeting Room and Lobby area was completed in September.
