Quaker Quest

Report

Quaker Quest closed with worship, in more senses than one.  People seemed to thinkour third session went well. Again we had around thirty people including some first timers.  We talked about silent worship, Sue Damien and Ruth talked about their experience and how worship nourished their whole life then we went into worship.

People seemed interested and intrigued by the Quaker Way.  Noone filled in the evaluation form (and who can blame them) but we talked to people and many were quite forthcoming. I hope for three outcomes.  Firstly, that all of us however new or old feel a deepening in the meeting, a renewed sense of what treasure we have to share.  Believing it to be a treasure will make us more able and willing to share it.  Second that it will be the start of a local and area meeting which sees reaching out as something we do as a matter of course.  And third it may follow from the above that we will do Quaker Quest some more. It shows that you can reach in and out at the same time

Best call of all to start each evenings prep with a meeting for worship just for us... so we were grounded with what we needed to do.

Our thanks to all who helped, or came, or spread the word.  and here's hoping some of the broader comments we heard can be written down and shared here
