Quakers Nationally

There are lots of good web resources about Quakers.

National Quaker website

Phone : 020 7663 1000

This page allows you to order a free information pack, and/or find your nearest meetings; there are also nine short videos of Quakers talking about their faith. Quaker Faith and Practice is the Quaker handbook, revised every thirty years.  It is an anthology of Quaker thought mixed up with some practical organisation stuff.  Read it online here.

There is an excellent Quaker bookshop at Friends House on the Euston Rd (opposite site of the road from Euston station); they also do mail order.  Most Quaker meetings including ours have libraries to borrow from.

London Quakers

www.londonquakers.org.uk

New site listing lots of events and news for Quakers in London.

Quaker Quest

We are running this 6.30-9pm, Fri 25/9,2/10 and 9/10 here at the meeting.

Londonwide: This is an interesting open event run every Monday except Bank Holidays, at Friends House.  It provides an informal chance for people to hear and discuss Quaker experience, ask questions and experience meeting for worship.  Highly recommended.  The ‘sessions’ cycle so if you miss one there is another chance to catch it.

If you live, work or study in central London there are weekday meetings for worship

Tuesdays 1.00-1.30 pm
Wednesday 6.15 to 7 pm
Westminster Friends Meeting House, 8 Hop Gardens, off St Martins Lane.  (Leicester Square Tube, three minutes walk from Trafalgar Square.)

The new Thursday evening meeting
Friends House, 173 Euston Rd (opposite Euston station).

If you are 18-30 check out Young Friends, a lively lot with their own mag Young Quaker.

Quakers on YouTube

Watford Friends have posted some short videos on YouTube, talking about their faith.  Maybe we should too!
